Reliable Lawn & Landscape Maintenance Company You Can Trust
The Services You Need from the
The name Vinedresser comes from the Bible. John 15:1 states: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” The word vinedresser is a translation of the Greek word geórgos. Strong’s Concordance defines it as: “a worker of the soil, husbandman, farmer, farm-laborer, vine-dresser.”
To us, it has a double meaning. In the passage, God the Father is the vinedresser or farmer, and Jesus Christ is the true vine. I believe God has called us to start this company, and in reality, He is in control of it. He is the Vinedresser of Vinedresser.
The second meaning it has for us is that, at our core, we are just workers of the soil in your lawn and landscape. We want to mimic God in what He does in nature as much as possible.

Vinedresser came about in the summer of 2015. I was a stay-at-home dad doing a lot of organic gardening around the house. I watched a lot of YouTube videos about organic gardening. One day, I came across a couple of YouTube videos about starting a lawn mowing business and got hooked on the idea.
I had been watching these videos for a couple of days without Sarah knowing, and low and behold, one day, she came home and said you ought to start mowing grass on the side.
I took that as a sign from the Lord .
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Before I became a stay-at-home dad, I was in the restaurant industry for 15 years, with eight years of management experience. I have always loved yard work and wanted to start a lawn care business. I even told my brother Chris about it, and his exact words were, “You’ll never make it. Too much competition.”
So, I went on with life, had kids, and became a stay-at-home dad. During this season, I drew close to the Lord, staying in the word, sometimes for hours at a time.
You see, I delighted in Him and forgot about the idea of a lawn mowing service.

But in the summer of 2015, the Lord had different plans. What was to become Vinedresser Lawn and Landscape was born. I had a push mower, an electric blower, and a Honda Pilot. I sold a pair of golf clubs to get a Homelite weed eater. I ran a couple of ads on Craigslist and got a couple of overgrown yards to mow. My first customers would not let me blow off their driveways with the electric blower. I took the first $100 I made and got a red, handheld Homelite leaf blower. I was now in business.
The rest is history.

Build Others Up
Ephesians 4:19 states, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
Edification translates the Greek word oikodomé, which Strong’s Concordance defines as : (a) the act of building, (b) a building, (c) met: spiritual advancement, edification.
We are here to build each other up
Put Others First
In Philippians 2:3-4 Paul tells us to – “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your interests,
As more important” translates the Greek word huperechó, which means to hold above, rise above, and be superior.
We aim to hold others above us.
Dwell on the Positive
Paul closes the book of Philippians in chapter 4 with verse 8 encouraging them to: Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Dwelling on the positive in most situations will solve many of our problems.
Be Honest
Proverbs 10:9 – “The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity (crookedness) of the treacherous will destroy them.
In Hebrew, perversity comes from a root word meaning to twist.
Strive to tell the truth at all costs.
Use Wisdom
n Ecclesiastes 10:10, Solomon says – “If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success.
Making wise choices will benefit not only our customers but also ourselves. Instead of using brute force when deciding or dealing with situations, we try our best to use wisdom.
It always helps to ask the question: is this the wisest choice?
Do All You Can Do
Ecclesiastes 9:10 – “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
Our business focuses on lawn and landscape maintenance, and we give it our all.
In all situations, we strive to do all we can do.
Art Williams: “All you can do is all you can do. And all you can do is enough!
